Welcome to El-HaLev
El-HaLev Ministry was founded
in Tel Aviv under the leadership of Eli Levi in 1990. El-HaLev in Hebrew means "the
God of the Heart". It can also mean "to the heart". Our God, the God
of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, is a God that talks to the heart of man.
See Psalm 26:2 "Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; Try my
mind and my heart". He shares with us from his heart to our heart (Psalm
33:11) "The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart
to all generations". In the New Testament Yeshua (Jesus) is teaching
us: "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also"
Matthew 6:21. As we understand that there is no treasure more precious
than the salvation that was obtained by Yeshua (Jesus) our Messiah who
was sent by God to redeem us from our sins. As the apostle John
writes: "My little children, these things I write to you, so that you
may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father,
Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our
sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. Now by this
we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments" 1 John 2:1-3.
God's commandments are in the Torah, the Prophets, the Writings and
the New Testament.
Our Goals
As Messianic Jews we see
ourselves as the continuation of the First Century community of
believers in Yeshua in the land of Israel. We at the El-HaLev
congregation believe we are called to teach and encourage our brothers
and sisters to bring the Good News (Besora) of Messiah to our fellow
Jews. At the same time, we encourage our brothers and sisters to live
and worship our Father in heaven in a Jewish context the same way that the early believers
did 2000 years ago.
El-HaLev Activities
Our main activity is the El-HaLev
Congregation in Tel Aviv. The congregation is a place of fellowship,
encouragement, prayer, and study of the Holy Scriptures.
We also have a group that meets in the Golan Heights for fellowship
and Bible study. Our hopeful aim is that in the future it will be an
independent congregation.
In El-haLev Ministry we encourage Jewish believers to stay connected
with their Jewish roots. We celebrate the holidays and plan study
trips to different Biblical sites in the country.
Eli Levi is available to teach and lecture in conferences, seminars or
individual groups and congregations in Israel and abroad. He has been
invited to lecture and teach in conferences in Germany, Bulgaria,
Holland, France, Finland, and the U.S.A. He has also lectured to tour
groups that have come to visit in Israel.
Eli is also available and willing to provide counseling to those who
have a need. In the last 15 years he has been involved in personal and
marriage counseling with many people.
